Vespertine Barroco is a self taught oil painter. Her work focuses primarily on female subjects as a means to explore themes of love, sexuality, pain, trauma, and our relationship with the supernatural world. Often combining elements of the ethereal and the grotesque, she uses painting as a way to document and explore the barrier between the spiritual and physical world. She is motivated by, in her own words, “…finding deeper understanding and universal meaning within the force of life.”
